The purpose of the School Advisory Board is to function as a consultative body to the Pastor and the Principal in matters relating to Saint Andrew Catholic School. The Board is consultative. The members do not make decisions binding on the school without the approval of the Pastor and/or the Principal.
The School Advisory Board may advise/consult on the following specific areas:
Advancement/Marketing: To assist the school in developing and implementing marketing strategies, and to assist the Principal in evaluating and developing strategies to ensure that the school is positioned to retain existing school families and prepared to recruit new students and families through diverse methodologies.
Finance/facilities: To develop, in consultation with the Principal and subject to the Pastor and Finance Councils approval an annual budget for the school and propose funding sources for the budget. Work with the Principal to ensure the buildings and facilities as maintained and improved to meet the educational needs of our students.
